SEND Leader, Kenzie Ritchie, shared this message with Destiny Family Faith:

“Destiny Family, I cannot express in words how grateful I am for the work you have done to help us remodel our Nehemiah Missionary House. I’m praying you get this message before church tomorrow morning so that you can publicly share this post with your congregation. You may never know the full extent that your generosity and hard work have blessed future generations of young adults, but know that God has done an amazing thing through this tangible expression of your service and love. Young adults will be using this Missionary House as a place of spiritual growth, learning, laughter, and friendship for years to come and I cannot personally thank you enough, or express enough gratitude from our entire staff, board of directors, and SEND young adults. We are so grateful to have friends in mission and ministry like your church, and we pray that you have been as blessed by this project as we have. We love you guys. P.S. The house looks AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ~Kenzie & the SEND North America – Servants Equipping New Disciples Family.”

SEND Planning Mission to Belize

“We’re not keeping this to ourselves, we’re passing it along to the next
generation—God’s fame and fortune, the marvelous things he has done.

Psalm 78:4 (MSG)

Mission3Dear Supporter,

Thank you for your faithful prayers and support for SEND North America! Your investment in these young adults and this movement helps release them to go deeper in their relationship with God and to reach other young people for Jesus! The Bible passage above reminds us of how important it is to invest in young people so God can continue to build His Kingdom through them.

Sarah, currently in SEND said, “My relationship with God has already grown beyond what I could have Mission2ever imagined. Through SEND, God has given me a fire for revival for my generation.”

SEND’s international mission trip is coming up May 18-25, 2016 in Belize, Central America. We are more excited than ever, as we get to do mission in Elisee’s (one of the SEND young adults) home country. We can’t wait to meet his wife and daughter while we are in Belize and serve in his local community!

We are continuing our partnership with CALMS, a mission society in Central America. CALMS has an amazing heart and passion to disciple all of Central Mission4America, to see many know Jesus as Lord and Savior. Their goal is to see the transformation of the countries in Central America. CALMS has many mission opportunities for us when we arrive, where we will serve within the context of seven different cultures, all within the country of Belize.

Each year, we raise our SEND team’s support to go on this international mission trip. We are aiming to raise $10,000 to cover the cost of this year’s trip. Would you please consider partnering financially with our SEND young adults for this mission trip? You may use the donate button below to make a secure online donation via PayPal.

You may also mail donate via USPS mail. Make check payable to:

Church Doctor Ministries
Attn: SEND Belize Mission Appeal
1230 US Hwy Six
Corunna, IN  46730

Even more important, please consider partnering in prayer with SEND. We will write to you after our trip to share the stories of how God is at work through the SEND movement and your investment.

Thank you for considering this – we look forward to sharing this adventure with you!

God’s blessings!

A White Canvas for the New SEND Team

empty-629127_1280I’ve always found September to be a sensational month, as it is all about new beginnings! When I was a kid, it was the school shopping that got me—-new crayons, new books, new binders, new gel pens! (Yes, I had a pretty impressive collection of gel pens, circa 1998.) Then there was the excitement that comes with starting brand new classes, with new teachers, maybe even in a new building. September has always felt like a blank slate to me—-a looming white canvas, begging to be painted.

That’s how I feel today, as I write this. This month marks the beginning of a new journey; however, we embark on an adventure that will be much more powerful than any new crayons or textbooks. This journey we begin, SEND North America, touches lives, changes hearts, and leaves people different than they came. Are you ready??? I know I am—-bring on the paint brushes, and let’s color that canvas.

Meet the Team! As you’re reading this, three young adults are settling into their new homes for the next 10 months. They’ve just unpacked their bags, getting to know their host families, learning a new routine, and starting their adventure! From Michigan, Indiana, and as far as Belize, these young adults have all taken a step of faith, long before arriving in Kendallville, Indiana for SEND North America, the hands-on training experience for young adults. They recognized a calling from God to get deeper with Him, learn what it means to disciple others, and live the life that He calls them, uniquely, to live. They’ve prayed about it, had the conversations, raised the support, and the day has finally arrived…they are here!

Quinnlin Jacquay

Jean Elisee Heureuse (nickname is pronounced “Zay”) is our first international young adult to participate in SEND! He is from Belize and is very excited about his time with us in the States to study God’s word, get trained and equipped in his faith, and return to Belize next year with a renewed vision for mission and ministry. Elisee is 28 years old and has a wife and daughter, Ajani and Elysia.

Quinnlin Jacquay is from Auburn, Indiana. Quinn is 19 years old, and has been very active in his youth group, as a young adult and as a volunteer. He has a real heart for ministry; he feels like God may be calling him into chaplaincy after SEND.

Sarah Kolb
Sarah Kolb

Sarah Kolb is from Indian River, Michigan. Sarah is also 19 years old and recently returned from her second mission trip to Guatemala. She graduated with an Associate’s Degree in Liberal Arts this past spring. Sarah feels that God may be calling her to family counseling or international missions after SEND.

Experience S.E.N.D. April 2013 News and Updates

As you open this monthly newsletter from SEND, we are in Belize on our year-end mission trip. This year we have partnered again with the Central American Lutheran Mission Society (CALMS), and are involved with a jam-packed week of relational ministry! Please keep our entire team in prayer for travel, safety, and ask that the Lord guide our conversations and witness with the Tubal Institute. We are working with staff and students to be positive witnesses for Jesus. We will be doing devotions, bible studies, prayer, and testimony. We are also doing service with many different churches and, at the end of the week, we will be doing ethnographic research for future missionaries and possible church plants. Our leader, Pastor Steve Huey, asks everyone to please pray that God will help us work well together and serve together as a team anointed by Him and unified by His Spirit. Our SEND team is grateful for all the folks and churches that are supporting us in doing this work. We hope to share what we learn and give testimony when we get back! Thank you!

Experience SEND! January 2013 News and Updates

We are back for our 2nd year for SEND North America! Servants Equipping New Disciples is a training process in discipleship and missionary training for young adults ages 18-30. SEND was launched on October 1st of 2012. We are about half way through our journey until next June.  We have a couple courageous young men who have signed on for the adventure. Peter and Patrick have dedicated themselves to draw closer to God in order to discover what God’s call is for their lives. They will also be equipped to do what God calls them to do in life as modern day disciples and missionaries! Throughout this process we are honored to have partnered with you as a SEND supporter and will share our testimony on a monthly basis, covering all aspects of ministry and mission!
