THE 2016-2017 SEND TEAM
Meet the team of young adults for 2016-2017. Their 10-month adventure began September 2016 and they will graduate in June 2017.
Patrick Tincher was born and raised in Ypsilanti, Michigan. He felt a calling to ministry in middle school and has been exploring how God wants him to fulfill that calling since then. Patrick has completed the first year of SEND training and is back to hone his leadership skills in order to start a SEND team in Ypsilanti. Patrick is excited to go on this adventure to find out what else God has in store for him. Support Patrick’s SEND training by donating using the button below.
Sarah Kolb is 21 years old and is from Indian River, Michigan. This is Sarah’s second year in SEND. After her first year in SEND, Sarah discovered her calling to help young adults develop their relationship with God and figure out their purpose and calling God has given them. She has come back to be trained in leadership in order to start her own SEND team in northern Michigan next fall. Sarah loves playing sports and hopes to incorporate that in her ministry in the future. She has a pet turtle named Todd and a dog named Espn (yes, like the sports channel). She loves spending time with her family in northern Michigan and boating on Burt Lake in the summer. Support Sarah’s SEND training by donating using the button below.
Duane Vizina comes from a small town in northern Michigan (Afton). Duane has three siblings and an awesome dog, along with two amazing parents. Duane likes to do outdoor activities and sports. Duane came to SEND because he felt a calling in high school to go into some type of leadership position—he doesn’t quite know what that is yet, but feels that SEND is the perfect place to find it. Meghan Ulrich is 22 years old, and she is from Saline, Michigan. She will graduate from Trine University, in December, with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Criminal Justice. She loves spending time with family and friends, working out, and going to the lake. Meghan is going through SEND to deepen her faith and to discern what type of career God is calling her to. Meghan is really looking forward to the different types of ministries that SEND will be exploring on the mission excursions. Her favorite bible verse is Ephesians 2:10 “For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” Support Meghan’s SEND training by donating using the button below.
Miah Case is 17 years old and from Mexico, Missouri, but was born in Ann Arbor, Michigan. After SEND, Miah plans to attend The Art Institute of Tampa for a 3 year course in culinary management—she looks forward to taking her newfound knowledge from her SEND training and using it in a restaurant setting. Miah’s interests include running, teaching a 2-3 year old class at her church, and volunteering at Camp Barnabas, a camp for kids with life-threatening illnesses and disabilities. She loves her dog, Shadow, and is a Taco Bell enthusiast. Miah loves to write, and poetry is one of her favorite styles of writing. She is a huge “people person” and loves meeting new people. Miah is a sassy and sarcastic person, but her hands are quick to give, and her heart is quick to love, and her eyes are quick to see the best in people. “If you are what you eat, then I only want to eat the good stuff”- Remy Ratatouille Support Miah’s SEND training by donating using the button below.
